Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G (Special Edition)

How it looks and works?

the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1,8G s.e. is a compact and lightweight lens, which has seven lens in six groups, with one asperical element and 7-blade rounded aperture.  Its large aperture of f/1,8 is great for low-light photography and the shallow depth of field helps isolate subjects from the background. Closest focusing distance from the plane is 0,45m. It weighs only 190 grams.

About the fifty:

The build quality is similar to the Nikon f1.4G lens. In comparison with the earlier 50 mm f1,8G is practically the same. The only difference is a retro design with silver stripe. It comes with a rubber gasket on the lens mount, which provides good sealing against dust making its way into the camera (the rubber gasket definitely helps not only in reducing sensor dust, but also in reducing the amount of dust that could potentially end up inside the lens). It has the same front element like Nikon 50mm f/1.4G and 35 and 58mm f/1.8G lenses. The thinner barrel, making the lens less bulky in comparison. A smaller barrel also means a smaller filter thread – the Nikon 50mm f/1,8G takes 58mm filters.
